This photography workshop will follow the wildlife each day after enjoying sunrise landscape opportunities at iconic locations each morning.

Photography opportunities abound during Springtime in the Grand Tetons. With only a three month growing season, the natural community has precious few weeks to get down to business before the mercury begins to fall again. Wildflowers bloom in a riotous profusion. Elk, bison, moose, mule deer, and pronghorn produce a deluge of young babies across the valley floor seemingly all at once. Black bears and Brown Bears teach their cubs how to find food.

So much to see, you’ll be happy for the long days. However, we will also enjoy night sky photography when conditions allow.

Highlights:

Lots of hands-on photo instruction
Beautiful scenery and landscape opportunities
Lots of wildlife, including bears, elk, moose, pronghorn and birds
One lodge for the week, no packing and unpacking!

*Although we will eat our meals as a group, meals costs are not included in this tour.

Grand Tetons: Spring Wildlife

WILDSIDE NATURE TOURS

Kevin Loughlin was raised to appreciate nature while exploring the woodlands of Pennsylvania as a child. At age six, during a family trip through the American West, Kevin became fascinated with photography as well seeing the new and different birds throughout North America. Instilled with a love for travel and seeking new, exciting destinations he felt a desire to share his experiences with others and in 1993 he created Wildside.

Kevin’s photographs and articles have appeared in publications such as Nature Photographer, WildBird, Audubon and Philadelphia Magazines, as well as the many natural history books.

Kevin teaches beginning birding classes and nature photography classes through several adult education venues as well as through seminars and workshops for groups, organizations and schools.
