Home of the famous lost Rose city of Petra and the vast martian landscape of Wadi Rum, the 7 day Jordan photography workshop offers you some of the most breathtaking landscapes and monuments the world has ever seen.

Led by award-winning official Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Andy Yee and Daniel Nahabedian the photographer behind Canvas of Light, this small group workshop will have an itinerary brimming with a variety of opportunities unique to only Jordan.

Accomodation will be 4-5 star and booked based upon location convenience and comfort. This tour will provide more of the luxury variety of hotels and glamping (luxury camping) in the Wadi Rum desert.

Jordan Itinerary
Days 1 & 2 — Amman
We commence our tour in the capital city of Amman, taking in one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited places, the Amman citadel. In the afternoon we visit Jerash one of the best preserved Greco-Roman sites and the largest in Jordan.

Day 3 & 4 — Petra
Petra is our first place of calling outside of the capital. The ancient Rose city was lost to western world for around five centuries. We will explore this archeological site regarded as one of the seven wonders of the world. After we enter the Siq and set eyes on Al Khazneh(theTreasury) we will make our way through the UNESCO World Heritage site to sunset at the Monastery.

The Petra by Night Ceremony is an unforgettable experience. Candles illuminate the path through the gorge of the Siq which opens up in the magnificent courtyard of the Treasury. The warm candlelit walls of Petra, and the vision of the Treasury bathed in the moonlight bring a mystique unseen during the day.

Day 5 — Wadi Rum
We then venture into one of the most unique and alien places on earth, known in Arabic as the Valley of the Moon, the desert valley of Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum has been made famous in many movies(Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian and the current Aladdin release). We will explore by 4WD to find our own sunset spot. Our accommodations will be luxury tents in the desert, under a clear sky our plans may include some astrophotography.

Day 6 & 7 — The Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is the lowest point anywhere on Earth. We will explore its salty shores to capture some unique long exposures. The day will culminate with some much earned relaxation at the spa. There’s nothing quite like floating atop the Dead Sea during sunset.

Our last day of the workshop we will drive from The Dead Sea back to Amman where you can choose to stay and explore Jordan further, head home or join us for the Oman workshop beginning 20 October 2019!

Payment, Cancellation and Refund
To reserve your spot a $1000 (AUD) deposit is required. The final balance of the workshop fee is due no later than 60 days before the start of the trip. Space is subject to cancellation by Andy Yee Photography if payments are not received when due.

We would be sorry if you had to cancel, but we understand that sometimes unforeseen situations arise that require cancelling of a workshop booking. Should you wish to cancel your booking you must advise us in writing. The following cancelation fees are incured:
91+ days prior to departure date: $1000 (AUD) of the workshop fee
61 - 90 days prior departure date: 50 % of the workshop fee
31 - 60 days prior departure date: 75 % of the workshop fee
30 - days or less prior departure date: 100 % of the workshop fee. We will do our best to re-sell the cancelled workshop place/s and if able to do so we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a $1000 (AUD) service charge. For reservations made within 60 days of the departure date, full payment is required within five business days of the reservation. All refunds, due to participant cancellations, will be minus the associated bank transfer expenses incurred by Andy Yee Photography.

Andy Yee Photography reserves the right to cancel a Photography Workshop before departure due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case your entire registration fee will be transferred to another Photography Workshop or refunded to you at your discretion.

Under-subscription
The Workshop requires a minimum of three paying participants to operate, if we fail to reach this number before 60 days before the commencement of the tour, the workshop will be automatically cancelled and your registration will be transferred to another Photography Workshop or refunded to you at your discretion.

Photographer Andy Yee will be present if the workshop has three or more participants.

Subject to Change
Itineraries have been carefully designed to assure participants the best each destination has to offer; however, should events arise that are beyond our control such as weather, airline strikes or delays, natural phenomenon etc.)., activities and hotel arrangements are subject to change without notice. The itineraries summarise typical areas you will explore. Since it might not be possible to visit all of them, your guides will plan each day considering the interests of the group and the weather at hand. Be assured that we will make substitutions that are as similar in quality and interest if necessary.

Health and Fitness
Anyone who is reasonably fit should be able to take part in most of the activities. If you have any special needs or any physical condition that you feel might prevent you from fully participating, please make us aware when registering for the tour or email us in advance with your questions or concerns.

Limitation of Liability
Andy Yee Photography aim to provide every participant with a safe, educational and enjoyable experience during the workshops. As there is always an element of risk associated with the outdoors and travel in general, we accept no responsibility for any personal injury, damage, loss, theft, accident, delay, or additional expenses associated with Photography Workshop participation.

Andy Yee Photography may contract with independent contractors to provide transportation, guide services and/or all other related travel services. We assume no responsibility, however, caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service provided by an independent contractor. Andy Yee Photography does not give any warranty or guarantee subsidiary services supplied by a third party as to their quality, fitness for purpose or otherwise but shall, where possible, assign to you the benefit of any warranty, guarantee or indemnity given by the person supplying those services.

Insurance
Each participant must be covered by medical insurance that is valid overseas. Travel insurance is vital to protect your trip investment and yourself while travelling. The applicant's travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. Andy Yee Photography recommend that you purchase travel insurance also for reimbursement of the tour costs if you need to cancel after the deadline.

Travel insurance helps to minimise the risk of monetary losses you would incur in the event of a delay of your departure due to weather, airline strike, missed connection, etc., your inability to travel for reasons such as illness, injury, unforeseen financial complications and other personal circumstances, or if you were required to cut the Trip short for medical or any other reasons.

We recommend that you secure enough travel insurance to provide adequate cover for the camera equipment you will be bringing on the Photography Workshop. You bring your camera equipment at your own risk. It is up to you to keep it safe at all times during the tour and is well protected from any adverse conditions we may encounter while on the tour.

Passport, Visa
The Client is responsible for possessing a valid passport and all required visa permits at the time of travel, as well as making arrangements for all required vaccinations or any other travel requirements for each of the countries visited during the trip. Andy Yee Photography will provide information about these requirements, but any recommendations about these matters and related subjects will be given in good faith and without any responsibility on the part of Andy Yee Photography.

Accommodation
All prices are based on standard single double occupancy.

Cost will cover 7 nights in luxe 4-5 star hotels or luxury desert tent accommodation during our trip. All private vehicle ground transport, park entrances fees and all meals.

Each hotel has been selected for their quality and offers a comfortable stay in well-equipped rooms or elaborate desert tents. All rooms on the workshop will be provided as single occupancy for your comfort.
