The Paria Plateau is the central geographic feature of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument; a remote region in the high desert of northern Arizona. Geologic wonders are the norm here: Navajo sandstone outcrops rise from the desert floor, and are sculpted by wind into fantastic shapes. White Pocket is among the most famous of these formations, and justifiably so; composed of swirling, thin-layered red-and-white sandstone layers, White Pocket is extremely photogenic. Many other areas within the monument also make great subjects, though, and we can’t wait to show them to you!

Join Muench Workshops co-founder David Rosenthal and pro Michael Strickland on this five day photography workshop into the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. We’ll visit the multi colored Chinle formations near the movie town of Paria, and several other locations within the region. Both of your instructors are veteran landscape photographers, and will teach you their techniques for best composing your images, focus stacking, using neutral density filters, and much more. We’ll spend two nights in our fully-outfitted remote camp, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the  sandstone formations and the surrounding plains. We’ll also spend three nights in Kanab, where we’ll conduct our signature image reviews and provide instruction on post-processing in Adobe Lightroom.

Our camp complies with all the standards of a National Monument commercial use permit.
