Over the past six months, Jordana Wright Photography has worked hard to create Nicaragua Awaits, a photography-inspired journey centered in Granada, Nicaragua. This trip was born out of a desire to introduce travelers to beautiful, hand-picked locations and exciting excursions in a country that is on the cusp of a tourism boom.

Nicaragua Awaits fills an obvious gap in current travel offerings as a careful balance between photography workshop and eco-tour. Many photo enthusiasts like the idea of an international photography workshop but prefer to travel with spouse or partner who would be bored in an intensive workshop setting. These photographers are stuck either taking expensive workshops alone or going on tours that leave time only for snapshots.

We appeal to individuals and couples who want to visit incredible locations and have unique Nicaraguan experiences where photography is a supported option, but not a necessity. We provide ample time in carefully scouted, dynamic locations for photographers to explore and shoot with the assistance of a professional photographer as desired while offering activities that will keep non-photographers interested and engaged!

To book Nicaragua Awaits, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit, which reserves your space. The balance, also non-refundable, will be due 12/16/16. No refunds will be offered for participant initiated cancellations after 12/16/16 unless your space can be rebooked.

In the unlikely event Nicaragua Awaits does not fill enough spaces to operate the workshop, you will be notified prior to 12/16/16 and all deposits will be refunded minus a $250USD administration fee.

We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance to cover your investment in case you are unable to participate. We are not responsible for any fees or expenses incurred due to non-refundable airline reservations because of workshop or participant cancellation.

Hotel accommodations are double occupancy. We will make every attempt to accommodate single room requests, but cannot guarantee availability. At no time will you be required to room with a participant of the opposite gender -- unless you want to. Participants booking together are eligible for a discount -- contact us for details.

Schedule will be determined by weather and conditions on the ground, but most shoots are rain or shine. Because of the rugged terrain, guests should be physically fit and capable of walking some distance while carrying their gear. Guests must be 18+ years of age. Minors may be accepted on a case by case basis, if accompanied by a parent.
