Online Photo Workshops 2025 | 3 photo shoots

Have your creative juices taken a back seat to COVID-19 and/or working remotely? Are you missing that photo mojo?

We have been running online workshops since the end of April 2020 so people can stay safely at home or nearby while giving those creative juices a jump start. It has been a joy watching our participants grow with the support, encouragement, and honesty of their fellow students and us.

Our participants take chances, step outside their comfort levels, and make images they did not know were possible for them. There is a reason they keep returning.

We meet on Zoom three times a week for approximately two hours each session, with an additional introductory gathering on Sunday. To make the critique sessions meaningful, we do need a minimum of four participants.

In addition to the assignments, we have discussions on photography designed to expand your knowledge of the art world with a view to adding to your arsenal of references to strengthen your own images. We also introduce our participants to photographers who have contributed to the art of photography, both contemporary and classic.

The critiques are run just as they are in any normal workshop, with everyone participating and Arnie and Margo weighing in at the end. The assignments will be the same for everyone, so give it your best shot, so to speak, and develop/edit it to the best of your ability.

There will be the normal banter and fun and frivolity — and don’t forget the camaraderie that is even more important these days — so join us, and get that photo mojo going again!

Those who sign up will get a detailed message outlining the workshop parameters and other pertinent information, including your Zoom link for the workshop. And no, you do not need a Zoom account to make this work!

Meanwhile, our philosophy remains the same online as it does in person:

Photography is an art form, worthy of museums and top galleries worldwide;
Travel light and inconspicuously (yes, even in your own back yard);
Take time to savor what is offered;
Be adaptable, a necessity, given that Mother Nature has a mind of her own!; and
Have FUN while pushing yourself to the next level in your photographic journey! … In other words, take your photography seriously, not yourself!
